Whisper Foam™ is a polyethylene-based, closed cell foam and is extremely lightweight. This makes Whisper Foam™ ideal for use within industries such as Commercial Vehicles, Generator Housings and Marine.
Manufactured by Sealed Air, its special manufacturing process opens the cell structure, which results in a highly efficient sound absorption material with a number of unique features.
Being a polyethylene foam, it has excellent resistance to humidity and water. Traditional open cell acoustic foams do not tolerate moisture or extreme heat anywhere near as well as Whisper Foam™. There is also a flame retardant version of Whisper Foam™ available, which meets recognised standards such as UL94 HF1, Din 4102 B1 and FMVSS302.
