Merseyside, United Kingdom (18th October 2012) – Airsea Containers Ltd, a leading provider of packaging solutions for dangerous goods transportation, advises businesses to prepare for the revised dangerous goods transportation regulations.
The forthcoming changes to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) will have a significant impact on those involved in the transportation of dangerous goods by air. The regulations will come into effect on 1st January 2013 and all businesses will be legally required to adhere to the changes. Compliance with the new regulations is essential for safely shipping dangerous materials by air.
For this reason, Air-sea Containers Ltd is urging organizations to educate themselves on the new regulations to ensure proper practice. The 2013 Dangerous Goods Regulations Manual is now available for order and is the industry standard for shipping goods by air. The manual will provide instructions for international dangerous goods and air regulations, as well as airline requirements. The changes will include updates in the list of dangerous goods, new and revised packaging instructions, amendments to the Glossary, and more.
A spokesperson for Airsea Containers Ltd commented: “As a leading protective packaging solutions company, we have a responsibility to comply with the law to ensure the health and safety of the public. Therefore, we will have the 2013 Dangerous Goods Regulations Manual in stock in the next few weeks, and encourage relevant organizations to become familiar with it before the new regulations come into effect in 2013.”
