London, UK January 19 2011 — The economic crisis has hit everybody hard and analysts had predicted that times would be tough in virtually every sector. Government cuts only served to exacerbate the problem but Lola Event & Promotional Staffing bucked the trend providing catering and event staff, as well as hosts and hostesses for some of last year’s biggest events.
The release of Tron Legacy was a major event in anybody’s book and even in Disney’s social calendar. The Lola Event Staffing team donned outfits from the movie in order to complement the music which was provided by Basement Jaxx and the night was a staggering success.
The end of October saw the Elton John AIDS Charity Ball raise nearly £600,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Lola Event Staffing team was helping with the event for the third successful year running.
Sir Elton himself stepped into the breach when Lily Allen had to withdraw and he performed hits from his latest album, to the surprise and excitement of the crowd and the Lola Event Staffing team.
Lola were also on hand to help bid a fond farewell to the Harry Potter team in August. As filming for the final Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II was completed, actors and the crew attended a wrap party at the Leavesden Film Studios in Hertfordshire. Lola helped ensure that Harry and the gang enjoyed one final farewell to the film franchise that has helped make Daniel Radcliffe and his co-stars household names.
