Liverpool, United Kingdom, (27th October, 2011) – Ada & Richmond, an innovative and healthy fast food brand, has brought a new concept of ‘grab and go’ fast food to the North West. Using oats as its not-so-secret ingredient, the new store recently opened its first ‘no bread’ bakery in Liverpool ONE to great acclaim.
Starting off as a family business selling Staffordshire Oatcakes in the 1940’s through the window of their home, Ada & Richmond has now created a menu that reflects the growing demand for healthy food on the go, without compromising on taste. The company’s unique fast food includes a range of soups, quiches and biscuits prepared in the store on a daily basis, using only British fresh produce, with no artificial additives.
When asked to describe ‘Ada & Richmond’, founder Alastair Baker said: “Think bakery without the bread – nutritious and delicious fillings and snacks, but not a crumb of bread or pastry to be found. With today’s busy lifestyle, it’s hard to make sure you’re getting a healthy meal while you’re on the move – but we believe our new store in Liverpool ONE does just that. The main ingredient on the menu at Ada & Richmond is oatmeal, which is abundant in complex carbohydrates and oat bran, a unique class of dietary fibre that boasts a number of important health benefits, from controlling blood sugars to lowering cholesterol, thereby reducing the risk of coronary heart disease. Oat products are also high in energy-delivering protein, whilst the amino acid present in oat bran (tryptophan) promotes a stable mood and restful sleep.
As well as tasty and healthy food, Ada & Richmond offers an appealing selection of soft drinks and fresh coffees. Ada & Richmond’s first ‘breadless bakery’ is due to open on 17 October and can be found in Keys Court, between Church Street and School Lane. This will be the first store; however, plans are already afoot to open in other cities across the North West, before going national.
