The Claimant turned to PHC Law for help to make a claim for damages following the accident in January 2009. The Claimant was the innocent passenger in the Defendants’ motor vehicle, which was involved in a high speed frontal collision with an oncoming lorry on a narrow road.
The accident was a violent and shocking accident and in addition to significant orthopaedic personal injuries, in particular to the right knee, head, face, back and shoulder, the Claimant suffered an adverse psychiatric anxiety reaction.
Identification of the putative Defendants and their insurer proved somewhat difficult and the matter proceeded on the basis that the insurers dealt with the claim but at no stage admitted liability.
Medical evidence was obtained from a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Consultant Psychiatrist. The Claimant has not returned to work and with the help of Mr Cooper, representing his case, interim payments were made whilst the claim was being dealt with.
