Kent, UK (22nd November 2012) – Webster’s Pen Shop, the UK’s premier independent provider of the finest writing instruments, is now stocking Montegrappa’s new The Brain Pen, which has been developed with significant input from a renowned neurological professor.
The Brain Pen is the result of an extensive collaboration with Dr. Richard Restak, Clinical Professor of Neurology at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences; the aim was to create a pen that represented the complex design of the brain itself. The pen is designed to reflect the relationship between the brain and the body: the pen’s top part is intricate and complex, while its body is much simpler.
The pen’s cap includes an overlay of neurons, while the pocket clip represents the spinal cord and the top depicts a cross-section of the brain as it appears in the ancient illustration which inspired it. The Brain Pen is available as both a fountain pen and roller ball, in limited silver or gold editions.
“We’re stunned by the ingenuity and skill both Montegrappa and Dr. Restak have demonstrated in developing The Brain Pen, and feel proud to have added it to our range,” said Steve Haskell of Webster’s Pen Shop. “Not only is this pen unique and truly impressive on an aesthetic level, but its elegant operation is also a real achievement. Whether pen-aficionados want to buy one of these to add to a collection or to give as a special gift, Webster’s Pen Shop offers them at highly competitive prices – and remember, they’re limited edition, so buy while you can.”
